Beef Lasagne (bake at home)

At Oscar's, we know how important it is to use high-quality and fresh ingredients which is why we make our own pasta (using olive oil and eggs) and mince our own beef. We created our own authentic home-made style lasagne, designed to take home and enjoy with the whole family.

Baking your lasagne to perfection

  1. Defrost the lasagne in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours or defrost on the kitchen counter for a couple of hours.
  2.  Preheat the oven to 200°C, remove the white paper-lid of the lasagne and cover the lasagne with grease proof paper
  3. Bake fan force for around 35 - 40 minutes.
  4. Once you see it is sizzling, uncover it and continue  baking for another 10  minutes until the cheese is a nice golden colour.
  5. The lasagne should be piping hot in the centre. Check by inserting a metal skewer or knife into the centre for 15 seconds  -if the tip is too hot to touch when removed, it is ready!  You can also use a thermometer to see if it is 72°C in the centre.
  6. Let it rest 5 minutes on the cooling tray before you serve. Bon appetit!

Baking From Frozen: Place in the oven (covered as above) while the oven is heating up. For small size, add 20 mins to the first step, for a large add 30 mins.

Beef mince, pasta dough (wheat flour, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, salt), peeled tomatoes, milk, butter, onion, capsicum, mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, basil, garlic, and an assortment of delicious herbs and spices.

Allergens: Gluten, egg, milk.

I do not think I’ve made or could make a better tasting lasagne than yours. I have gifted this to friends now as well and same response. Amazing, Thankyou!

Best ever lasagna

I’ve been making my own lasagna for many years, this is like home made only better and I won’t be making it myself ever again. So convenient to have it in the freezer ready to go.

I love this lasagne. I always keep one in the freezer for those nights when I just don't want to cook.

Why make it at home when Oscar makes it for me?

I am not joking in the title of my review. Oscars beef lasagna (and all of his products) is so good it tastes homemade, and is better than any I've made at home. Did you know he makes his own pasta sheets for it? I am pretty sure he still grinds the beef himself too . I used to visit the cafe every day when I worked at UC, now I order up a big box of goodies and stock my freezer.
