Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni (bake at home)

  • At Oscar’s, we are aware of how important it is to use high-quality fresh ingredients which is why we use fresh spinach and make our own pasta dough (using olive oil and eggs). And, our tomato pasta sauce is made from an old family recipe. We created our own authentic home-made style cannelloni, designed to take home and enjoy with the whole family. Baking your cannelloni to perfection

First, defrost the cannelloni in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours or defrost on the kitchen counter for a couple of hours. Then, preheat the oven to 190°C, remove the white paper-lid of the cannelloni and cover it with grease proof paper and bake for around 40 minutes. Once you see it is sizzling, uncover it and continue  baking for another 10  minutes until the cheese is a nice golden colour. The cannelloni should be piping hot in the centre. Check by inserting a metal skewer or knife into the centre for 15 seconds  -if the tip is too hot to touch when removed, it is ready!  You can also use a thermometer to see if it is 72°C in the centre. Let it rest 5 minutes on the cooling tray before you serve. Bon appetit!

Baking From Frozen: Place in the oven (covered as above) while the oven is heating up. For small size, add 10 mins to the first step, for a large add 15 mins.  



Pasta dough (wheat flour, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, salt), peeled tomatoes,  spinach, ricotta, fetta, egg, butter, onion, capsicum, mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, basil, garlic, and an assortment of delicious herbs and spices.
