4 Apple Turnovers (bake at home)

We are making our own apple filling from fresh and tasty apples, and goes in to our own delicious puff pastry. Perfect winter treat!

How to Bake

  1. DepfroYou can bake our apple turnovers straight from frozen or once defrosted. Bake 180°C fan forced for about 30 minutes. When ready, they will turn a nice golden-brown colour. Once baked, allow them to cool for about 5 minutes and dust with some icing sugar. (Nice with cream or ice-cream)

 

  1. Defrost the turnovers  in the fridge maximum 24 hours or couple hours on the kitchen bench 
  2. Lay them on a lined baking tray
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C, 
  4. Bake fan force for around 25 to 30 minutes until they are golden brown.
  5. Turnover can also be baked from frozen in the oven at 180°C for 35 -40 minutes long to make sure it is cooked all the way in.
  6. A metal skewer or knife can be put into the centre and left for 15 seconds and if the tip is too hot to touch when removed, it is ready or if you have a thermometer check it is 72°C in the centre.
  7. Let it rest 5 minutes on a cooling tray before you enjoy, bon appetit!

apple, sugar, lemon, wheat flour, margarine (contains emulsifiers (471, 322 from soy), acidity regulator (500), antioxidant (307b from soy), food acid (330), salt, maize starch.

A long weekend of lovely food

The vegetarian lasagne was delicious; the vegetarian odes even bette. The apple turnovers light and full of flavour. The sausage rolls very good. I’m still working my way through the rest - just a great service as well
