Karniyarik (bake at home)

Karniyarik is a classic Turkish dish. Delicious eggplant stuffed with a tasty beef filling - baked to perfection. All you need to do is reheat and enjoy!

 

Baking your lasagne to perfection

  1. Defrost the Karniyarik in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours, or defrost on the kitchen counter for no more than two hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200°c and remove the white paper lid.
  3. Bake the Karniyarik fan-forced at 200°c for around 25 - 30 minutes. 
  4. Karniyarik should be piping hot in the centre. Check by inserting a metal skewer or knife into the centre for about 15 seconds. If the tip is too hot to touch when removed, it is ready! Alternatively, you can use a cooing thermometer to see if it is 72°C in the centre.

Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Bon appetite!

Baking From Frozen: Remove the white paper-lid and place in the oven while the oven is heating up. Then, for the small size, add 20 mins to cooking time, for large add 30 mins cooking time.

All the bake at home range is amazing!!

Everything we have tried from the bake at home range is amazing. The karniyarik, lasagnes, cannelloni, eggplant parmigiana, pides. Everything is fantastic, can’t fault it, and the price is excellent value.
