Lentil & Mushroom Lasagne (bake at home)

At Oscar’s, we know how important it is to use high-quality fresh ingredients which is why we make our own pasta dough (using olive oil and eggs) and we cook our own vegetarian filling with fresh vegetables. We created our own authentic home-made style vegetarian lasagne, designed to take home and enjoy with the whole family. See details for cooking instructions.


Baking your lasagne to perfection

  1. Defrost the lasagne in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours or defrost on the kitchen counter for a couple of hours.
  2.  Preheat the oven to 190°C, remove the white paper-lid of the lasagne and cover the lasagne with grease proof paper
  3. Bake fan force for around 35 - 40 minutes. 
  4. Once you see it is sizzling, uncover it and continue  baking for another 10  minutes until the cheese is a nice golden colour.
  5. The lasagne should be piping hot in the centre. Check by inserting a metal skewer or knife into the centre for 15 seconds  -if the tip is too hot to touch when removed, it is ready!  You can also use a thermometer to see if it is 72°C in the centre.
  6. Let it rest 5 minutes on the cooling tray before you serve. Bon appetit!

Baking From Frozen: Place in the oven (covered as above) while the oven is heating up. For small size, add 10 mins to the first step, for a large add 15 mins.  



Pasta dough (wheat flour, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, salt), peeled tomatoes, lentils, mushrooms, carrots, onion, capsicum, milk, butter, mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, basil, garlic, and an assortment of delicious herbs and spices.

Delicious and convenient

I’ve recently stopped eating meat and was craving lasagna but not confident to try making it myself. Oscar’s came to the rescue with their divine lentil and mushroom lasagna, with clear instructions on how to perfectly cook it. Absolutely delicious.

A new favourite for us

This is just so yum! I love how we know we are getting a hearty and healthy serve of lasagne, without compromising any flavour through no meat. One that we just keep buying. With us lessening our meat intake, this is a go to staple in our freezer. Always delivers on flavour, and on value for money. We buy the smaller serve, and get two full sized meals from it. A great choice on an ongoing basis.

I can highly recommend the beef lasagne, the lentil and mushroom lasagne, the Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni, and the chocolate croissants. So easy for entertaining, too.
