Vegeterian Pide(bake at home)

Traditionally a Turkish comfort food, and one of Oscar’s specialties.


How to Bake

Defrost the pide in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours or on the kitchen bench for a couple of hours.  Preheat the oven to 200°C,  place the pide on a lined baking tray and bake for around 20 minutes until it is light brown, The pide should be piping hot in the centre. Check by inserting a metal skewer or knife into the centre for 15 seconds  -if the tip is too hot to touch when removed, it is ready! You can also use a thermometer to see if it is 72°C in the centre

Baking From Frozen: Set the oven to 200°C and place the pide in the oven while the oven is heating up.  Bake it for around 40 minutes until light brown.
